You're reading: Cabinet proposes another candidate for Kyiv region governor

The government has nominated the vice president of the Association of Cities and Communities of Ukraine and mayor of the town of Ukrainka, Pavlo Kozyriov, for the post of head of Kyiv Regional State Administration.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said this at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The prime minister said she regrets that Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko’s didn’t back the cabinet’s previous nominee for Kyiv regional governor, former Ukrainian Premier Valeriy Pustovoitenko.
