Kyiv movie theaters not planning to close due to flu epidemic

Oct 30, 2009 at 19:47 | Interfax-Ukraine
The top management of Kyiv-based movie theaters say they are not going to close them at present in connection with the recently announced ban on holding mass events.

In particular, such movie theaters as Kyiv, Kyivska Rus, the Butterfly cinema chain and the Odesa-Kino cinema chain told Interfax-Ukraine that they have not yet received any instructions from the Culture and Tourism Ministry to cease work and cancel movie shows.

"We're not going to close - the cinema halls and corridors are being sanitized, quartz lamps are on and facemasks have been bought for employees," a spokesman for the Zhovten cinema said.
