You're reading: Christian Democratic Party opens twelfth congress in Kyiv

The Christian Democratic Party has opened its twelfth congress in Kyiv. Out of the 239 elected delegates 212 have registered at the congress.

The congress agenda includes the following items: party’s participation in the presidential elections, party’s further development and election of its leadership.

The Christian Democratic Party entered the parliament during the extraordinary parliament elections in 2007 as a part of the Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense bloc.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in December 2007 the party reelected Volodymyr Stretovych as its leader.
