The Kyiv city state administration has abolished annual and quarterly traveling cards for subway and public transport.

The resolution took effect on Dec. 10.It envisions existence of only monthly traveling tickets.

The cost of these traveling cards will be Hr 80 for one type of overland transport; Hr 95 for subway; Hr 130 for two types of overland transport; Hr 150 for one type of overland transport and subway; Hr 160 for three types of overland transport; and Hr 250 for three types of overland transport plus subway.

The cost of traveling cards for students will be half of the price of ordinary cards, and will make up one quarter for schoolchildren.

The cost of monthly traveling cards for the second half of December will make up half of their ordinary price.

The cost of the traveling card does not include its own cost for plastic it is made of (Hr 7).

The traveling cards do not limit the number of trips during their efficiency period.

Besides, this resolution retains the tariffs for one-time trip: Hr 1.5 per trip for overland transport, Hr 1.7 per trip for subway.

The city state administration voided its resolution No.90 of Jan. 28.

Thus, the city state administration abolished the whole list of current types of traveling cards.

As earlier reported, in September, Antimonopoly Committee asked the Kyiv city state administration to abstain from the abolishment of annual and quarterly traveling cards for subway and overland transport until the check over economic grounds are specified. In early August, the Kyiv city state administration drafted the resolution on the abolishment of annual and quarterly traveling cards.
