OJSC Kyivmetrobud and Kyivmiskbud Holding are taking part in a tender to select chief builder of a first stage of the Livoberezhna subway line (Troyeschyna-Osokorky) in Kyiv from Myloslavska Street to Livoberezhna subway station.

Tender proposals of the candidates were opened at a meeting of the tender committee of Kyiv Metropoliten municipal company in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The building of the first stage foresees the construction of a subway from the Myloslavska subway station to the Vatutina Avenue subway station (tender lot one), from the Vatutina Avenue subway station to the Livoberezhna subway station (lot three) and the construction of the Troyeschyna depot (lot two).

Kyivmiskbud’s proposal regarding the value of work for lot one is UAH 828.313 million, for lot two – UAH 643.253 million, and for lot three is UAH 1.070 billion (VAT inclusive).

Kyivmetrobud’s proposal for lot one is UAH 431.242 million, for lot two – UAH 1.079 billion and for lot three UAH 721.502 million.

Thus, the proposal of Kyivmetrobud is UAH 310 million cheaper than Kyivmiskbud’s proposal.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that Kyivmetrobud deputy director general Leonid Mykhaliuk doubts that Kyivmiskbud had submitted documents to the tender committee that confirm the holding’s experience in the building of subways. A member of the tender committee Natalia Savenkova said that the data is not disclosed according to the conditions of the tender.

“So this means that any organization, which has built an underground bathroom, can build a transport project,” Mykhaliuk.

Kyivmiskbud’s representative did not comment the holding’s experience in the construction of subways.

According to the tender conditions, the winner will be selected in 30 working days, and the first stage of the subway will be launched in 2019, Mykhaliuk said.
