Kyiv's police chief Yarema resigns

The head of the Interior Affairs Ministry's Main Department in Kyiv (the Kyiv Police Department), Vitali Yarema, has resigned, as a representative of the Kyiv Police Department has said.

According to the representative, Yarema signed a letter of resignation voluntarily and the letter has already been accepted.

The representative also said that Yarema thanked the Kyiv Police Department's officers for their work on Friday.

As earlier reported, Yarema became the head of the Kyiv Police Department in December 2007.
