Head of district state administration in Kyiv region arrested on suspicion of taking Hr 1.4 million bribe

Officers of the department of the State Economic Crime Service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs have arrested the head of a district state administration in Kyiv region and the head of a department of the same district state administration on suspicion of taking a Hr 1.370 millionbribe.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the department of the State Economic Crime Service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.

The suspects were arrested at the moment of receiving the bribe.

According to the statement, the suspects demanded the sum for allocation of 30 hectares in the district to 15 citizens for households.

Prosecutors have instituted a criminal case under part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (bribe taking).

Investigatorsare now investigatingto uncover other facts of taking bribes by the said officials.
