Azarov specifies top-priority tasks for Kyiv's authorities

Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov has instructed the Finance Ministry and Economy Ministry to take measures to solve most painful problems of the capital jointly with Kyiv's authorities.

The cabinet's department for public relations reported that Azarov gave the instructions at a meeting with the leadership of Kyiv city administration and heads of central executive power bodies devoted to the settling of urgent problems of Kyiv's development and provision for the city's vital needs.

"The Finance Ministry and Economy Ministry jointly with Kyiv's authorities, Sergiy Leonidovych Tigipko, please, join and consider a set of urgent issues. Three problems are to be discussed during the drawing up of the national budget for 2010: Euro 2012, functions of the capital and Kyiv's budget," Azarov said, adding that the said issues are to be urgently solved.

The prime minister said that funds are to be used at most to settle painful issues.
