May 11 – The average U.S. dollar-denominated ask price of one square meter of secondary housing in Kyiv in April 2010 dropped by 0.6% in March 2010, to $2,350, while the decline since the beginning of 2010 has been 4.7%, the Stolychna Nerukhomist real estate portal has reported.
According to the source, the ask price of one-room flats in April climbed by 0.2% from March to $2,154 per square meter, while that of two-room flats fell by 0.6%, to $2,374 per square meter and three-room flats by 0.3%, to $2,366 per square meter and four-room flats by 2.3%, to $2,765 per square meter.
April 2009 through April 2010 the dollar-denominated ask price of secondary housing in Kyiv declined by 14.6%.
The number of flats put up for sale on Kyiv’s secondary housing market in April 2010 grew by 1.3% from March 2010, to 11,292 flats, the portal said. In particular, the share of flats put up for sale for the first time was 17.9% of the total supply.
The portal says that its report is based on an analysis of 11,292 flats with a number of rooms between one and four and whose total housing area is up to 200 square meters.
