The founding forum of the World Without Nazism international rights movement ended in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"It was an unprecedented event, when an attempt was made, actually the first one in history, to unite all anti-fascist forces," Chairman of the World Congress of Russian Jewry, Russian Senator Boris Shpigel told Interfax.

Shpigel is the author of the idea of establishing this organization.

The fight against the dangerous manifestations of fascism and neo-Nazism, and attempts to re-write and distort history, must be dealt with "in a concerted effort, leading to effective and practical results in the desire to uproot the brown plague of the 21st century," he said.

The founding forum was attended by over 350 delegates, including Russian, Ukrainian, European, Latvian, Israeli and Moldovan lawmakers, and representatives of the Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and Hungarian clergy.

The forum was crowned by a declaration. Shpigel was elected chairman of the movement’s interim council.
