Two peat bogs fires on areas of 0.3 hectares and 0.5 hectares have been discovered near Darnytsia heat power plant in Kyiv, the State Forestry Committee reported on Monday.
In addition, a garbage dump is on fire in Vyshgorod district, Kyiv region, the committee said.
These fires are the likely cause of the burning smell in the capital city, the committee said.
