A ceremony marking the disappearance of Georgy Gongadze on Sept. 16, 2010 is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Indepedence Square.

Residents of Lviv, meanwhile, have been invited to gather in the city center at 7:30 p.m. near the statue of Taras Shevchenko.

Ukrainians traditionally mark the disappearance of the journalist, whose beheaded corpse was found 120 kilometers southwest of Kyiv months after he disappeared ten years ago.

No one has been convicted of ordering Gongadze’s murder.
