You're reading: Five people injured in household gas blast in Kyiv

An explosion of household gas occurred on the second floor of a four-story apartment building in Kyiv, in Desniansky district (at 1, Rohozovska Street) on the night of January 23 and January 24, the press service of the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry has reported.

A total of five people were injured in the blast. They were hospitalized with burns and injuries of various levels of severity.

Seven apartments were partially damaged in the explosion. According to preliminary information, the supporting framework of the building was not damaged.

An investigation into the blast is underway.
