The incidence of influenza among residents of Kyiv grew by 8% from Feb. 28 to Mar 6, but the situation remains under control, Kyiv City State Administration has reported.

The administration’s press service reported on Wednesday that about 25,000 cases of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections had been registered last week, including almost 11,000 cases among adults and over 14,000 among children. This figure is 12.5% below the epidemic threshold.

The administration’s main health care department asked the public to avoid mass gatherings and consult a doctor as soon as the first symptoms of influenza are present.
