The famous opera tenor Placido Domingo will perform in Kyiv during the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.
"We’ve been holding negotiations for twelve years – it was very difficult to convince him… and only when it was announced that Euro 2012 will be held in Ukraine, die the negotiations receive a new status. Placido Domingo will be glad to come and perform," Head of the Karina Agency Karina Makohon said during a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
She said that Domingo would stay in Ukraine from June 26 until July 2, perform on June 29.
On June 26-29 he will rehearse with the orchestra.
According to Makohon, the performance will take place either on Sofiyska Square or in one of fan zones during Euro 2012.
The tickets will cost some Hr 2,000-6,000, and Hr 12,000-15,000 in the VIP zone.
