DONETSK – Sukhoi Su-27 fighter aircraft have arrived at Donetsk Airport to patrol the skies during the France-England match of the group stage of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship on Monday evening, June 11.

"Our pilots will cover Donetsk and Donbass Arena from an aerodrome in Kramatorsk, which is not far from here… The flight altitude will be between 7,000 – 7,500 meters," Su-27 pilot Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Oksanchenko told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, since the fighter has a 1.5-hour fuel reserve, the first Su-27 will take off half an hour before the match starts, and then it will be replaced by the second aircraft, which will end its patrol half an hour after the final whistle.

The match between France and England will start at 1900 on Donbass Arena in Donetsk.
