MOSCOW - Two Russians have been injured in football fans' fights in Warsaw, the Polish embassy in Russia has reported.

"We deny the information on the death of one of the fans on the basis of information received from the Polish police," the press officer for the Polish embassy in Moscow said in a report obtained by Interfax on June 13 .

"Ten people, including two Russians, one German and seven Poles, were wounded in accidents before the game. According to the information provided by medical services, their lives are out of danger," the diplomat said.

Te police have detained 100 hooligans who took part in fights before the game, he said.

"The police continue working on identifying the persons who took part in the fights before the game. The police are now looking at videos and identifying pseudo-fans who violated the law. Law enforcement officials plan further detentions," the diplomat said.

Acts of hooliganism have been committed by both Polish and Russian fans, the diplomat said, adding that fans supporting both teams have been detained.
