Lewisburg, Ohio, USA (yeah, try to find that on a map).
Time in Ukraine?
I’ve been here for eight or nine months.
What do you do for a living?
I teach English to kids, teenagers, and adults at London School of English.
What brought you to Ukraine?
An airplane. Actually I wanted to teach English and I had a professor at University from Ukraine.
Your first impression of Ukraine?
Ukraine is much more different from the other countries I’ve been to than I thought it would be.
Your funniest moment in Ukraine?
Laughing with other teachers about the things we would do if we were mean and terrible people/teachers. I drew a picture and taped it to my desk.
Your favorite places (ways) to spend free time in Kyiv?
Jacque’s Bed – the happiest place in Kyiv.
What’s your idea of a perfect weekend?
A perfect weekend consists of healthy doses of sunshine, friends, and drinking.
What’s the key to success in life?
I’ll let you know when I’m successful. Honestly, I think it’s finding what makes you happy and doing it.
Your biggest pet peeve?
Dishonesty.
How would your friends describe you?
To who? They’d probably have something to say about my alcohol consumption and unusual sense of humor. But to their mothers I’m pretty sure they say I’m a nice girl from Ohio.
What was your childhood dream?
To go everywhere and do everything. I’m still working on it.
Favorite movie?
This is an impossible question. But I could watch “Love Actually” everyday.
What’s in your CD player at the moment?
I’m listening to Amy Winehouse right now.
What is the best place you’ve traveled to?
The best would have to be either Brazil or Australia – you just can’t compare the two.
