David Haye wants to fight Wladimir Klitschko

David Haye is turning his attention to Wladimir Klitschko now that he won't get a bout against his brother, Vitaly Klitschko, for his WBC heavyweight title.

Haye and Vitaly Klitschko had agreed a June 20 fight in London, but the Ukrainian has to make a mandatory defense against Juan Carlos Gomez on March 31.

Haye, a former world cruiserweight champion who won his first fight as a heavyweight against Monte Barrett in November, has switched his attention to IBF and WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Haye's spokesman, Elliot Worsell, said on Wednesday that Wladimir's proposed defense of his titles against Chris Arreola in March has not been finalized and that means he could take on Haye.

"It looks like it's all up to Wladimir," Worsell said. "David doesn't mind which Klitschko he fights and is quietly confident he'll now get Wladimir. We'll see what happens in the next week or so."
