The annually Ukrainian Independence Day concert will take place on August 24th in Majdan Nezalezhnosti, Kiev. Former Eurovision winner Ruslana is leading the line-up of the concert, but other Eurovision stars are expected to perform within the frames of this special celebration. Ukraine is one of the youngest European countries as it became independent from the former U.S.S.R in 1991. Since then, the Ukrainians started a European integration and thanks to Ruslana's Eurovision victory, they managed to show themselves to the Europeans. In order to celebrate the importance of the Independence Day, a concert is being annually organized in the city center of Kyiv.
