Famous Canadian singer Bryan Adams will perform at the opening ceremony of the Lviv football stadium on Oct. 28. Lviv is one of the four co-hosting Ukrainian cities of the Euro-2012 football championship.

While stadiums in Donetsk and Kharkiv have been successfully opened, Kyiv and Lviv lag behind.

It has been reported that President Viktor Yanukovych plans to attend the opening.

It’s not clear who will pay for Adams’ performance, but according to Segodnya newspaper, the 51-year-old musician’s fees top up $300,000 for the concert.

Kyiv’s sports arena will be hailed into life on Oct. 8 also with a big concert and an A-list celebrity.
