As the city introduced its dry law, banning the sale of strong booze at night, The Moscow News was thirsting to test out the new legislation. But in a frustrating bid to bag a bottle of vodka, our reporters were thwarted at every turn in their local stores. Early closing times, surly staff and anxious security guards sent us home in low spirits as the ban bit on its first night. Read the story here.
