Ukrainian Art Week is being staged by the National Union of Ukrainian Artists. An unprecedented event, this is the first international art competition taking place in Ukraine open to any contestant. All the submitted works will be displayed at the Central Artist House for a week. The contest committee has already received entries from 18 countries including Ukraine, Russia, and other countries in Europe and America. The winners will be selected by a professional jury of celebrated artists, art experts and media representatives. Moreover, the exhibition will offer master classes given by gallerists and specialists, teaching about the way art is created, how to preserve art pieces and the best promotion methods. Ukrainian Art Week will feature both young artists, and stars of the international art market from Denmark, Italy, Israel, India, the U.S. and other countries, as well as the winners of the Russian Art Week that took place in October. All of the art works participating in the contest will be published in the international catalogue "New Faces in Art." Contests will be held for paintings, graphics, graphic design, photography, sculpture and decorative and applied arts. Art week will close with an award ceremony on Nov. 23 and will take place in Ukraine twice a year.
