Movie in English: “This is It”
Oct 22, 2009 at 20:29 | Alexandra Matoshko“This is It,” the film-tribute to King of Pop Michael Jackson, is finally hitting the movie screens worldwide. Jackson, who died on June 25 at the age of 50, was just getting ready to give the first of his 50 concerts at O2 Arena in London. Thus, “This is It” is based on more than 100 hours of video shot throughout Jackson’s rehearsals at O2 Arena from March through June 2009. Directed by Jackson’s creative partner and concert director Kenny Ortega, the movie reveals different sides of Jackson’s personality. During the last decade, scandal and controversy plagued Jackson. His unexpected death reminded the world of what a talented singer, artist and creative genius he was, and how much he influenced the development of music, fashion, film and the lives of millions of fans.
