English Cinema club at Master Klass cultural education center continues treating its guests to screenings of eternal film classics in the original language. The next in line is “Gone with the Wind” (1940). Iconic film adaptation of world-famous Margaret Mitchell’s novel is probably present in all listings of most loved movies of all time. Despite its age, it still keeps winning over more and more fans. The story of the film making is just as legendary as the film itself. Some 400 actresses were cast for the part of Scarlett O’Hara before British actress Vivienne Leigh got the role. American film star Gary Cooper turned down the role of Rhett Butler, saying the film is going to be “the biggest flop in Hollywood history.”

Master Klass (34 Mazepy). Nov. 14, 2 p.m. Tickets Hr 20.
