Mezzoforte

Icelandic funk-fusion band Mezzoforte was founded in 1977 in Reykjavik by a group of teenagers – 15-17 years old. Six years later in 1983, the musicians considered disbanding Mezzoforte since they were not enjoying much success, when their song “Garden Party” from the album “Surprise Surprise” became a huge hit and topped the charts in Great Britain. That changed everything for the band. Mezzoforte moved to London and started touring Europe and Asia. The song from “Rockall” from the fifth album “Observations” became their second hit. Having released 11 studio albums and played in 40 countries of the world, the band still continues actively touring and working on new material.
