Glen Miller Orchestra Europe

Nov 5, 2009 at 20:45 | Alexandra Matoshko
Already a regular autumn guest in Ukraine, the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra Europe is coming once again. The orchestra carries the name of its founder, American trombonist, composer and genius arranger Glenn Miller. With his orchestra, Miller created such famous songs as “Moonlight Serenade,” “In the Mood” and “Chatanooga Choo Choo” and recorded soundtracks for movies “Sun Valley Serenade” and “Orchestra Wives.” On Dec. 15, 1944 Miller was on the flight to Paris, when his plane disappeared off the radars. The aircraft or people on board were never recovered. Now the orchestra is headed by trombonist Larry O’Brien. The Ukrainian audience, however, will get to see its other licensed “clone” – Glen Miller Orchestra Europe founded in 1990 and headed by Wil Salden.
