Stalker Fest 2009
Oct 1, 2009 at 20:07 | Alexandra MatoshkoObsessive gamers and music fans will gather on Maidan to celebrate the launch of the game “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat” with the massive S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Fest. The game of Russian-Ukrainian produce will become the third installment of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, loosely based on a science fiction novel, “The Roadside Picnic” by Russian writer duo Strugatsky Brothers. The festival site will include a unique stage styled as the 4th Energy Block of the Chornobyl Atomic Power Plant, and special zones for “laser fights,” stuntmen and a light show. And you don't need to be a gamer to enjoy the evening concert featuring some great bands: Vopli Vidoplyasova, Boombox, S.K.A.Y., Tartak, Skryabin and Firelake.
Maidan, Oct. 3. Noon till 10 p.m. Free admission.
