IWCK Tea Dance
Mar 11, 2010 at 22:59This year’s theme of the “Tea Dance” is taking after the British evening dance traditions of the 1920s-30s. The dress code must also reflect on this era – lounge suits, 20’s dresses and jazz era accessories such as ribbons, feathers, silk scarves and hats are most welcome.
The “IWCK Tea Dance” will be held at the ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in Kyiv with more than 200 foreign and Ukrainian guests – ambassadors, representatives of international organizations and companies and business elite of Ukraine. The highlights of the event’s program include a master class in dance from Fidelio Dance Studio, a dancing contest among guests and a jazz trio performance.
There will also be a live auction and a grand raffle. Among the items to be put up for the auction are vouchers for the famous international hotels, airline tickets, rare vintage drinks, cigars, jewelry and other valuable items from the event sponsors. Children will be entertained in the kid’s lounge with buffet, dancing, toys, games, cartoons and more.
All the proceeds from the “Tea Dance” will be used to fund IWCK’s charitable projects. IWCK is a charitable public organization created in 1992. Its members include women of 47 nationalities, and all club’s projects are targeted to support the needy and socially unprotected residents of Kyiv.
