You're reading: Premier orders energy minister to monitor use of domestic oil

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has ordered Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko to oversee the use of domestic oil to stabilize prices in the market of light petroleum products.

"It is important that each tonne of domestic oil is used to stabilize prices. At present, it is the main task and personal responsibility of Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko," the premier said while opening a meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday.

Azarov said that the domestic oil and gas should be used as economically and efficiently as possible to ensure the energy security of the country.
