Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that unfinished construction facilities with a high level of readiness, which were started as part of a program on the cleanup of the consequences of natural disasters, should be completed this year.

"Look through the unfinished facilities [started under the program for the cleanup of the consequences of natural disasters in previous years] – we should finally complete the ones with a high level of readiness this year," he told the heads of western regions of Ukraine, during a meeting of the regional economic reform committee in Lviv on April 11.

President Yanukovych added that construction operations at the facilities should be finished regardless of who is guilty of the delay.

"Let’s not point fingers at the guilty. Our task is to do this," the president said.

According to Yanukovych, citizens should see that the authorities are able to fulfill their obligations and maintain order.

The president stressed that there are some 300 unfinished construction facilities in Lviv region and added that all of them received funding on time.

"This refers not only to Lviv region, but also to other western regions," he said.
