A Ukrainian doctor died of a heart attack in the Libyan city of Tobruk on May 2, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"A Ukrainian citizen, who worked as a doctor in Libya, died in Tobruk on May 2," Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov said.

He said that the Ukrainian Embassy in Libya was currently dealing with the transportation of the body to Ukraine.

The Foreign Ministry predicted that this would take several days, because Tobruk was under rebel control.

As reported, a Ukrainian doctor was killed and another one injured as a result of hostilities in the Libyan city of Misrata on April 20.

On April 28, the body of the doctor was delivered to Ukraine and passed to his family.
