The continuation of the privatization process will contribute to transfer of the state property to effective owners, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has stated.
"In the near future we are planning to take a decision on the privatization of the remaining state property," the president said in Mykolaiv on Tuesday, during an extended meeting of the Economic Reform Committee, according to the presidential press service.
"Of course, the strategic branches will still belong to the state, while all the others will be gradually privatized, so as they get an effective owner," he said.
"We will move in this direction," Yanukovych said.
