Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has promised that the government will give due attention to the revival of farming in Zakarpattia region.

"We will certainly put plenty of effort in to getting the agricultural sector of Zakarpattia working," the president said at a meeting of the Regional Committee for Economic Reforms in Zakarpattia Regional Administration on Thursday, his press service reported.

According to President Yanukovych, the government needs to choose the best solutions for seven regional companies that "have actually gone bankrupt." The president said he would sign a relevant decision soon.
