You're reading: Serhiy Reznikov becomes head of Crimean police

Serhiy Reznikov has been appointed the chief of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's main department in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Interior Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov signed an order to that effect on May 27, the ministry’s press service reported.

Reznikov is police colonel. Earlier, he headed the Crimean department on the fight against organized crime. Starting from April, he had served as the acting chief of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry’s main department in Crimea.

On April 15, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych dismissed Deputy Interior Minister and Chief of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry’s main department in Crimea, Oleksadnr Prosolov.
