Yalta, May 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The director for Culture, Cultural and Natural Heritage at the Council of Europe, Robert Palmer, has said that all of the cultural heritage of Ukraine belongs to the whole of Europe, and because of this the Council of Europe plans to continue cooperation with Ukraine, so that its cultural heritage become all-European.

"We are sure that all of the heritage of Ukraine belongs to the people of Europe in general, and I would like to say that the Council of Europe is interested in the continuation of such work," he told reporters on Thursday at the Artek International Children’s Center, where the Kyiv Initiative and Eastern Partnership – Cooperation and Synergies Conference, organized by the Ukrainian Culture Ministry, was held.

At the same time, he noted that apart from those three Ukrainian facilities put on the UNESCO list, Ukraine has other sites that could be included on the list.

"I’m sure that Ukraine has wonderful sites of cultural heritage in terms of their value and I’m sure that [it] will manage to demonstrate not just the quality of a site itself, but also the quality of management of its administration, the quality of work on its protection, then, of course, this will be a decisive factor to declare such a site a site of UNESCEO cultural heritage," Palmer said.
