Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has ordered Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka and Interior Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov to examine the situation concerning the Radomysl Castle Museum.

"President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has instructed Prosecutor General Pshonka and Interior Minister Mohyliov to investigate the attacks on the Radomysl Castle Museum in the town of Radomyshl, Zhytomyr region, that occurred on the might of May 14," the press service has said on Monday.

Yanukovych ordered Pshonka and Mohyliov to provide a legal assessment of the situation, apply measures of response and report to the head of state by June 25.

As reported, philanthropist and social activist Olha Bohomolets, whose is involved in establishing an ethnographic museum in Radomyshl said that a group of unknown people armed with angle grinders and lead by deputy of Radomyshl District Council Roman Rudenko made an attack on the Radomysl Castle Museum and destroyed a part of the fence near the museum.

Rudenko said he was not involved in this incident.

A criminal case was opened under Part 3 Article 296 of the Criminal Code (disorderly conduct).
