Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said he is confident that Ukraine will be a country with very liberal tax laws and an administrative system that will not put pressure on businesses.

"I think that Ukraine will be a country with the most liberal tax laws and with the most liberal administrative system that will not put pressure on businesses," he said at a Ukrainian-Danish business forum in Kyiv on Monday.

Azarov said that the Ukrainian authorities were pursuing a policy of deregulation, and that a lot of work was being done to simplify the conditions for doing business.

"A lot of work is being done on the simplification of business conditions, and it’s not easy. We’re facing significant challenges, misunderstandings, and resistance. That’s quite natural, but we will complete this work," he said.
