Ukraine and Russia have agreed to set up working groups to lift trade restrictions on the supply of Ukrainian sugar and steel pipes to Russia, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov's spokesperson Vitaliy Lukyanenko has said.

"The parties agreed to set up working groups to resolve bottleneck problems. The prime minister believes that among such bottleneck problems is the issue of trade restrictions on the supply of Ukrainian products, first and foremost, sugar and pipes," he told journalists in Moscow on june 8, while commenting on the results of a meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian committee on economic cooperation.

Lukyanenko said that the Russian side, in turn, had stated that it had problems with the deliveries of matches and glass to Ukraine, and Azarov replied: "Then I’m very satisfied that the issue concerns only matches."
