You're reading: Yanukovych insists that system of providing administrative services should be revised

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed the government to finalize a draft law to streamline the system of providing administrative services, the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Iryna Akimova, has reported.

According to her, the president said that the finalizing of the draft law should include the legal formalizing of a full list of administrative services, the need of sending funds from providing administrative services to the general fund of the national budget and the definition of authorities that will provide the services without the possibility of delegating these functions to intermediaries.

The main problems of the system of providing administrative services, according to Akimova, are the non-transparent system of dividing services into free and paid and the issue of administrative services pricing.

In addition, Akimova noted that all the companies that would get the right to render administrative services should be transferred to treasury accounts.

She stressed that the government had started reviewing the list of administrative services within each ministry and agency. At the same time, Yanukovych insists that the process should be accelerated.
