Ten people, including three Ukrainian children, have been ill in a hotel complex in the town of Nessebar (Bulgaria), Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov has said, referring to the Ukrainian Embassy in Bulgaria.

According to the embassy, the patients are suspected of having food poisoning.

All of the patients received medical assistance, and as of July 19, the condition of Ukrainian children does not give any cause for concern.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Bulgaria is overseeing the case.

The Foreign Ministry also said that the sanitary and epidemiological service in Nessebar had conducted checks in the complex and found no pathogens in food and water.

"It is possible that children might have been poisoned by products purchased outside the hotel," Dykusarov said.

On July 11, about 40 children, including ten Ukrainians, were admitted to the infectious disease ward of the central regional hospital in Burgas, Bulgaria, with symptoms of acute gastroenterocolitis.

According to Bulgarian media, over 20 Russian children were also taken to hospital.
