A delegation of the Russian Ministry of the Interior has had a look at weapon systems made by the Fort Plant in Vinnytsia. The issue of purchasing the Ukrainian weapon to arm Russian Special Forces could be considered after the visit.

The public relations department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported this week that Ukraine showed around 15 modern weapon systems of various purposes (from patrolling in the streets to special forces’ raids with taking buildings by storm) to the guests – officials of operating unites and Special Forces unites Rys and Zubr of the Russian Ministry of the Interior.

Russian colleagues jointly with Sokol (Falcon) Ukrainian Special Forces tested the weapons.

Employees of the Fort Plant took into account wishes of Russian specialists to improve the specifics of weapon to increase competitiveness of Ukrainian weapon on the international market in the future.

State-run Fort Plant was established in 1994 to produce firearms and equipment for Ukrainian Special Forces.

The major part of the plant’s products is exported.
