You're reading: Cholera outbreak in Mariupol over, says sanitary service

A cholera outbreak that has hit Mariupol, Donetsk region, is practically over, according to the Donetsk Regional Sanitary and Epidemiological Service.

The last two persons who were diagnosed with cholera and hospitalized were discharged from the hospital, and no new cases had been registered by Tuesday morning, the service said in a report.

Altogether, 26 people were diagnosed with cholera and 13 others were registered as cholera vibrio carriers.

Five vibrio carriers remain under medical surveillance, but are said to be in a satisfactory condition.
