A total of 26,600 people will be drafted into the Ukrainian army in October-November 2011.
The Ukrainian Cabinet approved a relevant resolution on August 3, according to the government’s Web site.
Of these, 20,000 people will join Ukraine’s Armed Forces, 5,500 draftees will join the Internal Troops of the Internal Ministry of Ukraine, and 1,100 more people will serve in the State Special Transport Service.
