Ex-Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's lawyer Yuriy Sukhov has filed the third appeal for her release from custody.

The court rejected two appeals earlier in the day.

Following a break, the lawyer read out an appeal from prominent public figures, Heroes of Ukraine and intellectuals who were ready to vouch for Tymoshenko.

Judge Rodion Kireyev said that the appeal would be considered after the questioning of witnesses.

Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko, who had been the Ukrainian Ambassador to Russia in 2009, is readying to testify.

The judge authorized the arrest of Tymoshenko on August 5, at the prosecutor’s demand. The demand was made after the questioning of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov as a witness.
