Warsaw is planning to simplify the procedure for issuing Polish visas to Ukrainian fans during the matches of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.

Ukrainian fans are expected to get visas based on the tickets they have bought for football matches. The period of validity of the visas will depend on the type of tickets (the number of matches attended) the fans have.

Poland informed Ukraine about this at the talks on consular and legal issues, which were held in Kyiv on Wednesday at the level of the heads of the consular services of the Ukrainian and Polish foreign ministries.

The sides also discussed the crossing of the Ukrainian-Polish border by Euro 2012 participants and the introduction of joint consular posts to provide assistance to citizens.
