Ukraine, Russia and the European Union need one another, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

"We are holding active negotiations with Russia and the European Union. This means that we are interconnected and need one another," he told reporters in Kyiv on Friday.

"We are needed both by Russia and the European Union, therefore both Russia and the EU put forward their conditions, their demands. If we weren’t needed, who would talk to us?" he said.
