Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will make a working visit to Poland on August 30, the presidential press service has reported.

Yanukovych is expected to meet with his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski to discuss Ukraine’s efforts to draw closer to the European Union.

"During my meeting with Komorowski, I intend to discuss many issues on the agenda of Ukraine-EU relations, taking into account the fact that Poland currently holds the presidency of the European Union. And we have plenty to talk about. These are issues to do with the agreement on the free trade area, signing the association agreement, the liberalization of the visa regime and other issues," the Ukrainian president said during his visit to Rivne region.

According to Yanukovych, the two heads of state will also discuss the issues related to Ukraine’s participation in the EU Eastern Partnership initiative.

During his visit to Poland, the Ukrainian president will also visit the Euro 2012 stadium in Gdansk.
