You're reading: Gas supply restored in almost all villages in Zakarpattia

The gas supply has been restored to almost all of the villages in Zakarpattia region that were left without gas late in August because of serious damage to a gas pipeline, the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry's office in the region has reported.

Over 45,000 households in Uzhgorod and the village of Onokivtsi and 240 households in the village of Rozivka in Uzhgorod district were still without gas as of Friday morning.

The gas supply is being restored.

As reported, a powerful explosion occurred in Uzhgorod on August 29 as a result of damage to a gas pipeline and a gas leak. Three people were injured.

Uzhgorod and 26 villages in Uzhgorod district were left without a gas supply due to the damage to the pipeline.
