Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Premier Mykola Azarov and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn congratulated entrepreneurs on their professional holiday on September 4.

"I wish you good health, endurance and optimism. Let every business started be good and successful. I wish goodness and happiness to you and your families," reads the president’s letter of congratulation on his Web site.

Yanukovych noted that today the private segment of the national economy remains an important aspect of increased competitiveness of production and the strengthening positions of Ukrainian manufacturers on both the domestic and world markets.

The president said that, "the key task of the state authorities at all levels is the creation of proper conditions for businesses and the elimination of obstacles in the way of their development."

Azarov, in turn, stressed that entrepreneurs’ activity secures social stability in the state.

"You contribute to the implementation of reforms and raising domestic production with your deeds, and not words," reads the text of his congratulation.

The Ukrainian premier wished "success and prosperity to everyone who achieves targets and organically combines his own and national interests."

Lytvyn added that more and more Ukrainians mark Entrepreneur’s Day today.

The speaker stressed that the Ukrainian parliament is ready "for the further development and improvement of the legal base for small and medium businesses, and legal support for the interests of domestic manufacturers on both the domestic and foreign markets."

Under a decree dated October 5, 1998, Entrepreneur’s Day is marked every first Sunday of September.
